Spectrum has just purchased a number of SPL-td1's and SPL RUNTS. The Sound Physics Labs are a unique combination of compact size and extended coverage capabilities, designed by Thomas Danley to deal with the real world problems faced
by systems contracting professionals every day. Instead of working from the concepts of the past, Danley started with a blank computer screen and a desire to redefine performance and enhance the applications for compact high-sensitivity systems. Methodically analyzing every relevant competing product allowed a complete understanding of each approach. Knowing what problems exist elsewhere allowed a design that expands the performance envelope in a package distinguished by configurability, efficiency, and unique sonic assets.
The SPL-td1 because of its exclusive true point source performance, provides the most integrated sound possible in a high performance sound reinforcement product. All of the drivers in the SPL-td1 and Runt load different parts of the same horn, therefore, one hears music emanate from one source, not a series of different sized horns and drivers combined to simulate a point-source. With a maximum output of over 140db SPL at 1 meter, These remarkable speakers not only have a “high Fidelity sound”, they also put out more level than almost any other speaker box available. The Runt has been specially designed to go along side the td1 as a near-field speaker for down or in fill. The Runt has exceptional sonic performance, boasting one of the flattest frequency responses of any equalivant speaker on the market. The Runt is also a multipurpose Speaker and can be used as a monitor speaker or put on a pole. |
